Special Procedures for the evaluation of Neuromuscular Junctional Disorders
These are the disorders presenting as pure motor syndromes that usually preferentially affect proximal, bulbar, or extraocular muscles. The common examples of these kind of diseases are Myasthenia Gravis, Lamber t Eaton Myasthenic Syndrome and Botulism. These conditions are assessed by Repetetive Nerve Stimulation (RNS) studies and Single-Fiber Electromyogrphy (SFEMG). |
